The Crew Loves Comments

Now you've gone and done it...the Crew members know you've been leaving comments, and they're all excited and want me to write more on the blog. Goodness, there are only three (completed) Crew members here in the studio now, but they can be quite adamant about something when they are excited.

So here I am, sharing about comments to make them happy. But really, my motivation is twofold: (1) I want to thank you for your comments. (2) I am curious to know whether you receive notification when I reply to your comments. OK, my motivation is threefold: (3) Wayne said he missed reading my blog. (Hi, Wayne!)

There is a new feature in Blogger that allows visitors and blog owners to reply to comments on a blog, right there in the commenting section. I used to e-mail everyone (when I got a chance) to thank them for their comments. But now, I can comment right there on the blog. Do you receive a notification e-mail when I reply to your comment? Or is this the first you've heard about it?

Once again, thank you so much for taking the time to comment. Your comments make my day. (And they make the Crew happy, too.)

  1. Deborah, I am the same like you, I love to read comments! Even if it's just a simple "Hi" made my day and know that someone is actually reading this. I am glad you are coming back =)
    Hugs, Wayne

    1. Ah, another person who loves comments! So glad to find you. :o) Comments really are uplifting. Now if only I can find more pictures to use on my blog, I can write more posts! Watch out, dear readers! Ha-ha!

  2. Hi Deborah,

No, I don't think we receive an e-mail when an author leaves a "reply" on a comment, at least I don't. So I am staying with "old school" and writing (via e-mail) to each friend who leaves a comment on our Blog.

    Oh, Prudence is here.....

Well, Miss Deborah, where have you been? And about pictures, you know J. Cub could be on each of your posts - he is the office manager at New Avenue isn't he. Well?

    Heaps of Hugs

    1. Hmm. I was hoping Blogger would e-mail and tell you I had written. Oh, well! Prudence, Sebring is the studio manager, and J. Cub and Madeleine sit around looking cute and cuddly. Oh, they have tasks, too, to be sure. Right now, J. Cub is here on my desk keeping watch over Thomas (by Tami Eveslage) and the little white head I made a couple of years ago...I haven't designed his body yet. Shh... :o)

      Hugs to you!

  3. Hi Debora,

Thanks for this information! It's very helpful. How did you learn of it? I'll be using it from now on because it will make blogging life easier.

Thanks bunches! Hi to the Crew!

    1. Glad to hear it'll be helpful for you, Ginger. I am thinking Blogger doesn't send e-mail to the commenters when I reply, but the replies are nestled beneath the visitor's comment, which I think looks nice. If only it would e-mail them, too. I need to look into it more, I think. Hi to you and Sebastian from the Crew!

  4. I do see this new way to reply. I do not think that the reply shows up in your inbox, you still need to come back here and check. Then the reply is written under the original comment. I could be wrong, but let's see. Will you reply here please? I will come back, I do.
Anyway it is nice to see you back blogging and getting the business up and going again. I certainly understand that life sometimes gets in the way.

    1. Yes, I am noticing that Blogger doesn't send an e-mail to the visitor who comments. I sure wish it did! But I like the look of my reply being nestled under the visitor's comment. I replied to your comment on the previous post about mohair, too.

Thank you for your encouragement. I miss working on my bears when I don't get a chance to. I have a little guy lying here all sewn and ready for stuffing to commence, and then I want to take part in the Guild's Scrap Heap challenge, so I have my garments out and ready...just have to pick a pattern and alter it so the bear doesn't wind up too skinny. I have so many ideas for bears that I can't wait to make. Wish we lived closer so we could make bears together. Next time you're in Colorado, please come visit! :o)

    1. Thank you so much, Carolyn! I am tickled that you like my bears. Maybe you can meet one on Monday (if I can remember to bring him). :o)
